By Toni Hoffmann of Successful Self Improvement

What does this big word enlightenment mean?

How do you think: "Are we all born with the mission of being enlightened? Does everyone realize what enlightenment is? Does each of us need to be enlightened? Do many people care about it? So many questions...!

In this article you'll get answers to most of these questions. But first let's clarify what this big word like "enlightenment" means.

What is Enlightenment?

It is considered to be such a brief awakening of the mind that you momentarily put all discriminations and prejudices aside, and you feel as a part of the world around you, as a small piece of the whole Universe.

But unfortunately, many people can be in such an uncommon condition for a shorter period of time. But it does not mean that one cannot achieve constant state of enlightenment. It is quite possible in case if we go on practicing more and more. The only secret is recognizing the glimpses in time.

How To Start The Journey to Enlightenment?

Ross Bishop who is a natural shaman believes that our inner child is usually damaged because of parental dysfunctional behaviors and disharmony in the environment around us. And the first step to awakening starts from changing our beliefs and stereotypes. According to R. Bishop each of us has become came to Earth to solve these issues. It is our initial mission. In other word journey to enlightenment begins from letting go of limiting beliefs and acceptance of challenges in life.

Daily deep meditation is an important step to be enlightened

The second step to awakening is deep meditation. If you want to achieve a state of awakening then you need to meditate on a daily basis. Such regular meditations help us calm our soul and body, as well as mind from where our insight originates.

To practice deep meditation is simpler than you may think. It will take only a few minutes a day:

• First set up daily schedule.

• Every day at the same time sit, or lie down and meditate focusing on nothing but your breathing.

• Breathe slowly, and try to get rid of all thoughts in your mind. The purpose of this procedure is to help your ego become aware of the other things you can feel and sense.

After a while, you will notice that you look at the whole world around you with other eyes – in the light of insight.
